Candace "Candy" (Garno) Sherman St. Charles, Michigan Beloved wife, mother and sister passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper, with her family at her side; at the age of 67 years. The daughter of the late James and Minnie (Gioaninni) Garno, was born on August 14, 1952 in St. Charles, Michigan. Candy married Michael Sherman on August 12, 1989, at Hemlock United Methodist Church; he survives her. She worked for many years at the Community Hardware in St. Charles. She enjoyed making beautiful counted cross stitch pictures, pillows and also hand-made quilts for family and friends. Surviving besides her husband of 30 years, Michael; is one daughter, Melanie Sherman of Columbus, GA; and four brothers, Toby Garno, Tom Garno, Pete (Linda) Garno, Andrew (Ruth Ann) Garno. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Besides her parents, Candace is preceded in death by one sister, Kathleen. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial to follow in Fremont Township Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a charity of their choice.
