Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 surrounded by his family. Age 89 years.
The son of the late Freelove D. (Hall) and Robert James LaLonde was born April 25, 1932 in Birch Run, Michigan. He married Pauline J. Rohde, April 24, 1954. She passed away October 28, 2017. Bruce graduated from Arthur Hill High School and served with the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by General Motors, Grey Iron Foundry, retiring with 30 years of service in 1978. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and an active member of the St. Charles Wolverine Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and playing card games.
Surviving are two daughters, one son, Karla (Tony) Wise, Kurt LaLonde, Karen Harvey, grandchildren: Bruce A. (Sabrina) LaLonde, Kassidy LaLonde, Jim (Heather) Beam, Jennifer (Nate) Moeller, Jessica (Michael) White, Jordan (Stephanie) Wise, Juston LaLonde, Chad (Amber) LaLonde, Hannah LaLonde, Mitchell Harvey, Madelyn Harvey, 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a son, Keith LaLonde, eight brothers and five sisters, Robert, Forrest, Ralph, Roy, Jack, Joseph, Fred, Richard, Marguerite, Allyce, Clara, Anna and Joyce.
The funeral service will take place at Noon Monday, December 6, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Rd. Hemlock. Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate with Military burial at 3:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with family at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00 -6:00 p.m. Sunday and then at the Church from 11:00 a.m. Monday until the time of the funeral service.
