Bonnie Kay Nagel of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. She was 81 years old. Bonnie Kay Stunkel was born on March 13, 1944, in Bay City, Michigan to the late Marvin J. and Violet N. (Westenburg) Stukel. She attended T.L. Handley High School in Bay City. Bonnie met the love of her life, James Randall Nagel, while at Bay City Beach. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on March 3, 1962; he survives her. The role of her lifetime, one she treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was former member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church on Hancock, where assisted as a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed spending time with her card clubs playing Euchre, as well as going to the casino and gardening. Above all, Bonnie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter, they truly made her heart feel full. Though she could be a feisty spirit, she will forever be remembered as kind, loving, and selfless.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, James Randall Nagel of Saginaw; two children: Thomas (June) Nagel of St. Charles; Beth Ann (Bruce) Hartley of Wixom Lake and Florida; two grandsons: Ryan Nagel of Bay City; Jacob Nagel of Midland; one great-granddaughter, Lainey Nagel; and a sister, Patrica Joyce of Saginaw; a special niece, Jill Perez of Saginaw. Also surviving are many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends, too numerous to mention, but held closely to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Violet Stukel; two brothers, Bill Stukel; Robert Stukel; and two brothers-in-law, Wayne Joyce and Edmund (Sandy) Nagel.
