Ruthig, Bonnie Marie Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2000 at her home at the age of 71 years. Bonnie Marie Richir was born October 8, 1929 in Saginaw to the late Leo and Marie (Marlier) Richir. She was graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1947. Bonnie had been employed as a secretary for the Saginaw County Probation Department for several years and had then been employed as the plant manager's secretary at Saginaw Steering Gear (now Nexteer), retiring in October of 1993. She had served as the secretary for the GM Retirees Club and GM Girls Club Secretary. Bonnie was also active in the Saginaw Branch of the Women's National Farm and Garden Association, inc. where she served as both secretary and publisher of the newsletter. She had participated in the weekly YMCA Exercise Club. Surviving are one daughter and two sons, Linda Ruthig, Florida; John Ruthig and his wife, Rose, Florida; Joseph Ruthig, Chesaning; six grandchildren, Steve (Dell) Hambling; Susan (Aaron) Peterson; John (Ranie) Ruthig; Michael (Melissa) Ruthig; Matthew (Stacy) Ruthig; Chad Ruthig; five great-granddaughters; one sister, Mary (Win) Case; several nieces; a sister-in-law, Rosalie Ruthig. Her brother, Leo Ruthig, passed away in 2012. Funeral service took place Friday, November 18, 2000 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Asa T. Compton officiated. Burial took place in Oakwood Cemetery. www.casefuneralhome.com
