Betty (Vlassis) Galbraith of Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2022, at the age of 89. Betty was born on February 28, 1933, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of the late William and Byrdella (Forbes) Vlassis. She married Donald Galbraith on February 9, 1983; he preceded her in death on August 9, 1989. Betty was a lifelong member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

Surviving are a brother, Wiliam Vlassis of Saginaw; and sister-in-law, Carm Vlassis of Cadillac.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Galbraith; parents, William and Byrdella Vlassis; two brothers: Romaine Vlassis; Donald Vlassis; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Fred Blake; and two sisters-in-law: Clara Vlassis and Julie Vlassis.

A funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 123 N. Michigan Ave. Rev. Fr. Curt Norman and Rev. Pamela Renna will officiate. Entombment will follow at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum. Friends are welcome to visit at the church on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
