Betty Cliff

Betty Cliff, 88, Saginaw Township, MI, passed away peacefully on May 22nd. She was born in Woodsfield, OH in 1935 and was predeceased in 2019 by her husband of 63 years, Leonard Cliff.  She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Cliff, also of Saginaw Township and son, Bruce Cliff (Andrew Huber), of West Palm Beach, FL (formerly of San Francisco and West Hartford, CT).  She is the daughter of the late Bess Walters and Lloyd Allen, Sr.; sister to the late Joanne Rifenbark.  She is also survived by two brothers, Dennis Allen, Pinckney, MI and Lloyd Allen, Jr., several nieces and nephews.

Betty’s humor touched everyone and her thoughtfulness and generosity inspired her family and friends.  She will also be remembered for her beautiful oil paintings that are part of collections across the country and for her stately calligraphy that adorned many Michigan wedding invitations.  Our many thanks to the kind staff at Wellspring Lutheran Services Memory Care Unit for Betty’s excellent care.  

Pursuant to her wishes, no service will be held and cremation will be arranged by W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603.  Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Saginaw Art Museum, 1126 N.
