Stajdl, Bernice L. Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre, one day before her 95th birthday. Bernice L. Nielsen was born February 26, 1922, in Lakeview, Michigan, the daughter of the late Niels Peter and Alma Marie (Hansen) Nielsen. She graduated from Lakeview High School. She married Frank John Stajdl on September 12, 1942; he predeceased her January 14, 2014, after 71 years of marriage. Surviving are their children; son, R. Paul and Janine Stajdl, daughter, Susan and Gary Vance, daughter, Christine Stajdl; daughter in law Linda Stajdl; 9 grandchildren: Michael (Deb) Stajdl, Scott Stajdl, Kelly (Matt) Robertson, Jeffrey (Brenda) Stajdl, John (Jennifer) Stajdl, James (Geri) Stajdl, Jeremy (Samantha) Stajdl, Rebecca Wardlow, Joseph (Michelle) Wardlow; 20 great-grandchildren: Kayla, Megan, Noah, Shelby, Seth, Benjamin, Gabriella, Colin, Emma, Jaxon, Mattison, Ian, Lily, Brandon, Courtney, Josh, Ella, Matthew, R.J. and Kirsten; 2 great-great grandchildren: Jade and Ella; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kale Ann Reis. She was predeceased by a son, Phillip Stajdl; grandson Casey Wardlow; brothers Stuart, Ralph and Maurice Nielsen; and sisters: Frances Christensen, Myra Miygawa, Grace Robinson, and Marian Jensen. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, where her family will receive friends from 12:00 noon Wednesday until the time of service. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate.
