Bernard Allen Spencer, age 85, of Bridgeport, Michigan, passed away at his home on May 14, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

Bernard was born in Saginaw, Michigan on August 23, 1940, to the late Clifford B. Spencer and Helen (Miller) Spencer.

He is survived by his loving wife Florence E. (Nicol) Spencer. Bernard and Florence were united in marriage on May 5, 1962. He is also survived by three children, Lynn Storrs, Pam (Rudy) Schultz, and Bernard (Sally) Spencer II; seven grandchildren, Rudy (Ashley) Schultz, Amanda (Cord) Nevels, Brandon (Lisa) Schultz, Leah (Graham) Fisher, Gabrielle (Mitch) Seider, Steven Spencer, and Lillian Spencer; nine great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Sara and Alivia Schultz, Mya and Myles Nevels, Camille, Addisyn, and Xavier Schultz, Theodore Fisher; brothers, David Spencer and sister, Ellen Neurminger; many nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

Bernard was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Spencer, mother, Helen Boos, and step-father, Peter Boos; three brothers and one sister, Robert Boos, Peter Boos, William Boos, and Jackie Jackson.

Cremation will take place and a family gathering will be held later. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
