Bernadine Fischer

Bernadine “Boots” Fischer passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the age of 102. 

Bernadine enjoyed a healthy and happy life with her husband and daughter. She was born on April 22, 1921, in Carrollton, Michigan to the late William and Martha (Waligorski) Jaremba. She was married to Keith W. Fischer on October 11, 1947, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2004. She was employed for eight years at General Motors Saginaw Foundry. 

Bernadine is survived by her daughter Vicki Fischer; two sisters-in-law, Chic and Nancy Jaremba; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers Carl, Gordon, William, John and Robert.

A funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603, where friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Rev. William Hessler will officiate the service with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
