Beloved companion, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed way peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. Becky Rae Johnson was born on October 15, 1969, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Arthur and Karen (Hoffman) Johnson. She met the love of her life, Shannon Botwright, through a mutual friend. They dated, fell in love, and have been inseparable for the last 14 years. Becky held a special place in her heart for all animals, especially her dogs, Chopper and Sadie. She enjoyed playing her computer games, as well as fishing. Becky also enjoyed watching the deer and turkeys from the comfort of her own home. Though she could be stubborn and strong willed, she was loving and very caring. Becky had the innate ability to connect with all people and left her indelible mark in this world through battling and surviving stage IV lung cancer two times, and for her lighthearted, kind, and playful spirit.
Surviving are her companion of 14 years, Shannon Botwright of Saginaw; son, Justin Johnson and his sons, Braxton and Corbyn of Saginaw; three sisters: Tammy (Steve) Fresorger of FL; Lisa (Rob) Snyder of Saginaw; Shelley Jo (Terry) Keyser of St. Charles; five nieces and two nephews: Erika (Ryan) Tomac and their children: Brayden, Luca, and Hudson all of Chesaning; Monika Ginderske and her son, Chase Entrekin of Chesaning; Kendra Ginderske of Marion Springs; Robbie Corner of Saginaw; Gerritt Redifer and his son, Gerritt Redifer Jr. of Bay City; Julia Seige of Saginaw; and Zasha Weese of Montrose. Also surviving are many cousins, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death her parents, Arthur and Karen Johnson.
Honoring Becky's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
