Beatrice "Bea" Marie Hunt of Gladwin, formerly of Saginaw

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Horizon's Senior Living of Gladwin. She was 88 years old. Beatrice Marie Dubay was born on July 17, 1933, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Elmer and Marie (Goff) Dubay. She was a 1951 graduate of Saginaw High School. Bea and Barry Wayne Hunt were united in marriage on March 15, 1952; he preceded her in death on December 12, 2001. Bea worked for several places throughout her life, but the role of her lifetime was to be a loving wife and devoted mother. She was an avid outdoorswoman, enjoying both fishing and hunting, and was still hunting in her mid-70s. Bea also found peace and tranquility tending to her flower garden. Above all, she treasured and cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters and three sons: Connie (Michael) Shangle of Beaverton; Sheryl Harshman of Holt; Janis (Thomas) Collison of Garrett, IN; Donald Hunt of Conroe, TX; David Hunt of Conroe, TX; Dale (Wanda) Hunt of Roscommon; nine grandchildren: Jennifer Karow, Stephanie (Sidney) VanSlyke, Tarrah (Ron) Schefke, Gabriel (Stephanie) Harshman, Troy (Amber) Harshman, Monica (Korey) Brewer, Darci (John) Collison, Chad Hunt, Dylan (Kelsey) Hunt; two step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Sylvia Dubay of Saginaw; Donna Dubay of Bay City. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Marie Dubay; husband, Barry Wayne Hunt; son-in-law, James Harshman; grandson-in-law, Andrew Karow; two brothers: James Dubay and Gerald Dubay.

Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road on Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Private burial will take place at Roselawn Cemetery.
