Barbara passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the age of 70. Barb was born on September 24, 1949 in Saginaw to the late Ralph and Frances (Chasnis) Benton. She attended Saginaw High School and later gained a certification as a dental assistant.

Barb worked as a dental assistant at Comfort Dental for several years before retiring in 2004. She had a true passion for working in her yard and making the landscape look beautiful. She also enjoyed working on her home and fixing it up. Barbara also loved dancing, but most of all she cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and having them stay overnight.

Surviving her are her three children Stacey Mitchell, Jamie (Lauren) Priest, and Jason Priest. Also surviving Barb are her grandchildren; Ericka Mitchell, Jeremy Mitchell, Sofia Priest, Jakob Priest, Gavin Priest, Ryder Priest, Holden Priest and her great grandchildren Jonathon Mitchell, Alexis Randolph and Paisley Randolph. Barb is also survived by her siblings Chester Benton, Gilford (Kelly) Benton, Kenneth Benton and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Barb was predeceased by her son Ricky Efu in 1986, her brother Ralph Benton and her sister May Morford.

A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 27, 2020 at W. L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie Hwy, Saginaw. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Due to the Worldwide Health Pandemic, State guidelines will be followed, visitors are required to wear masks and follow social distancing.
