Charles R. Turner

 Birch Run, Michigan

 Passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Ascension St. Mary’s.  Age 84 years.

Charles was born in Saginaw, MI. on, June, 26, 1938. He was the son of the late Charles 0. Turner (Esther) and Agnes, nee Carlton, (Louis) Howay.  He lived in Saginaw and Bridgeport, graduating from Saginaw High School in 1956.  He became a barber and worked in different shops in the Saginaw area for over 17 years. Then, he worked at General Motors at Saginaw Steering Gear III for 36 years, retiring in 1999. Charles married Betty Moll on, October 1, 1960, and lived in Saginaw. They moved to the Birch Run area in 1974.  Betty survives him. Charles enjoyed swimming, hunting, fishing, and going to flea markets. He also was a swimming pool volunteer at the Millet Learning Center in Bridgeport.

      Besides his wife, Betty, he leaves his children, Matthew Turner, Shelley Thomas, and Mark Turner all of Birch Run and grandchildren, Derek, Stacy (Joe), Jeremy (Lauren), Doug (Jessica), Rachel (Drew Kirk), and Stephanie and great grandchildren, Zachary and Alaina, and Pepper. He also leaves his sisters, Roberta Pollard, and Muriel (Midge) (Carl) Portner and sister­ in-law, & her husband, Helen (Jim) Horwath and many nieces and nephews.

        The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. Saginaw. Rev. David J. Jenuwine will officiate with burial in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday.
