Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arthur Vincent Podgurski II. He was born on March 21, 1970, to Arthur Vincent Podgurski and Roseanne Clairmont. He passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply. After graduating high school, he served for a time in the United States Navy.

Art’s wife, Teresa Hall, was truly his best friend. For 20 years, they shared a happy marriage built on love, friendship, laughter, and the kind of partnership that brought comfort and joy to both of their lives.

Art was truly a reflection of the loyalty, dedication, and strength that were such an important part of who he was. To those who knew him best, he was loving, loyal, supportive, compassionate, incredibly intelligent, and charismatic. He also had a wonderfully dry sense of humor that could catch people off guard and leave them smiling.

Art had a way of bringing people together. He was a die-hard University of Michigan and Detroit Lions fan, and he loved the simple joys in life—making memories camping at his seasonal lake lot in Hale with Teresa and their friends, traveling to Florida for a much-needed getaway and to visit with his family, fishing whenever he could, and making the most of Black Friday shopping. Whether he was sharing a joke, talking sports, or starting a conversation with someone new, Art could make a friend just about anywhere.

More than anything, Art loved his family and friends. They were the heart of his life, and he showed that love through his loyalty, support, humor, and steady presence. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the kindness he gave so freely, the laughter he created, and the lasting place he holds in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Teresa Podgurski; his parents Arthur (Nancy) Podgurski, and Roseanne Savage; his mother-in-law, Patti Hall; one daughter, Clare Bergant; sister, Tina Hunt; step-sisters, Christina (James) McCune and Michelle (Christopher) Welles; his sister-in-law, Tammie (Erwin Ragan) Hall; his nephews, Tyler Hunt, Alexzander Hall, and Adrian Hall; his nieces, Alexis (Steven Gawlik) Hall, Alyssa Hall, and Alayna (Dylan Hadfield) Hall; great-nieces and nephews, Ava Gawlik, Levi Dennings, Ivy Castillo, and Everly Castillo; his precious furry friends Izzy and Abby; good friend and bonus brother, JP; and friends turned family, Bob and Lori Herbin; as well as many other friends and family members that will hold his memory dear.

He is preceded in passing by his grandmother, Delores Kesemyer; his aunt, Theresa Podgurski; his stepfather, Bob Savage; and his father-in-law, James Hall.

A funeral service in honor of Art will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603, at 2:00 pm. Friends are welcome to visit the family beginning at 10:00am until the time of the service at 2:00.
