Annie "Alease" Goodvich

Alease was born on May 21, 1934, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Beverly and Annie (Hayes) Jones.

Alease graduated from Dan River High School on June 6, 1952. She was united in marriage with Donald J. Goodvich on November 15, 1953, in Chesterfield, South Carolina. Next month they would have celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary.

Alease enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid golfer and bowler and bowled in many leagues in Houghton Lake. She was a member of the Roscommon Senior Center. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling with her husband Donald.

Alease is survived by her loving husband Donald J. Goodvich; son Donald Goodvich Jr and his wife Linda, and daughter Pamela Brown and her husband Doug. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jason Brown, Lisa Daniel, Melody Hager, Donald Goodvich III, and great-grandchildren Linden, Kira, Kane, and Skylar. She was preceded in death by her grandson Derek Brown, and her brother Erskine Jones.

Cremation has taken place, and no service is planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice, Hidden Harvest, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
