Annette S. Berger (Willman)

Passed away peacefully Saturday, June 3, 2023, in the company of her three sons, at the age of 63 years.

Annette was born on February 27, 1960. She grew up in Merrill, Michigan, the middle child of three daughters. She graduated from Northwood University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. She enjoyed going to Eight Point Lake and water skiing with her two sisters and friends. She married David Berger on May 11, 1985 and raised three sons together. Annette managed a daycare out of her home and did an amazing job. Annette loved all the children who passed through her home and treated them as if they were her own. Annette was a loving wife, mother, and friend. Everyone who knew her received love, kindness, and positivity. Annette was an active member on Zion Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School, volunteered for countless church activities and was a pillar of her community. Annette was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 56 and battled the disease for six years. While battling her illness she still maintained her loving attitude and showed great strength. She stayed at the Roosevelt Assisted Living Home. Annette’s beaming personality created happiness and joy, making new friends with staff and other residents at the Roosevelt House.

Surviving are her loving husband of 38 years, David Berger; her father, Elmer Willman; sons, Jonathan, Daniel (Alexis Davis) and Nicholas Berger and sister, Kim Rose; nieces and nephews, other relatives and special friends. Annette is not suffering anymore. She is finally resting peacefully with her mother, Barbara Willman and her sister, Debra Richnak in Heaven.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Road, Hemlock. Pastor Paul Hauser will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
