Ann Mae (Jacobs) Ruppel

Ann Mae (Jacobs) Ruppel, beloved mother of eight children, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Stone Crest Assisted Living, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She was 89 years old.

She was born in Saginaw on May 29, 1936 to the late Frank G. and Bertha (Westfall) Jacobs. She graduated from St. Andrew High School. Ann married Henry A. Ruppel, son of the late Henry and Mildred (Falkenhagen) Ruppel, on April 21, 1956.

Ann is survived by her children: Deborah (Bruce) Cady, Douglas (Lindy) Ruppel, Jeffrey (Gail) Ruppel, David (Anastasia) Ruppel, Timothy Ruppel, and Dr. Heather (Dr. Vik Mali) Ruppel

She took special joy in being a grandmother to fifteen grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren. All of which hold special loving memories of the time they spent with grandma - “granny”.

Ann enjoyed baking, especially at Christmas time. She also was a talented painter of ceramics and Christmas ornaments. She did find time to be involved in her children’s activities being a school volunteer, Cub Scout den mother, and attending sporting events.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; son Matthew; infant son Daniel; sisters Betty Shreve and Jeanne Marie; and brother John Jacobs.

Cremation has taken place. No services will be held in honoring Ann’s wishes. Arrangements entrusted to W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors. Please share your words of condolence with the family at www.casefuneralhome.com Those who wish to honor Ann’s memory are invited to consider a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or a charity of their choice.
