Andrea R. Becerra Garcia
Hemlock, MI formerly of Brownsville TX
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2021 at the age of 92 years.
Andrea was born on November 30, 1928 in Brownsville, TX to parents Francisco and Herculana (Martinez) Reyna. She married Cristobal Garcia, he predeceased her. Andrea worked as a deputy and retired from the Saginaw County Sheriff's office. Andrea was a member of St. John XXIII Parish. Favorite past-times included gardening, crocheting, knitting but she most especially cherished attending mass and spending time with her family.
Andrea is survived by her children: Jose (Jaye) Gracia, Maria G. Becerra-Vogler, Estella Becerra, Jesse R. Becerra, her grandchildren: Ramiro R. Guerra, Christine A. (Jeff) Parsons, Joseph (Tricia) Gracia III, Tina (Bob) Cook, William G. (Dawn) Theaker, Georgette (Arnie) Boggs, Jessica (Chaz) Volcheck several great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her parents, Andrea was preceded in death by her daughter Yolanda Gracia, granddaughters Yvonne Rundell, Andrea M. Guerra and her siblings: Leocadia V. Mora, Gregorio M. Reyna, Leonor Reyna, Bruna Reyna, Humberto Reyna.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday February 4, 2021 at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary Catholic Church in Hemlock, with Fr. Steve Gavit officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Saginaw, MI. Friends and family will be received at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Wednesday February 3, 2021 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy. Pursuant to current state executive orders, building capacity is limited, face masks are required and social distancing encouraged. We appreciate everyone's efforts to mitigate the spread of covid-19 in our community. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. John XXIII Parish or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
