Andrea P. “Andi” Sheikhzadeh of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved aunt, niece, and friend passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, November 4, 2022. She was 73 years old. Andrea Pearl Girardot was born on April 25, 1949, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Francis E. “Bud” and Helen “Betty” (Monville) Girardot. She was a proud 1967 graduate of Frankenmuth High School. Following graduation, Andi began a longtime career with General Motors – Malleable Iron and AC Spark, retiring after many years of loyal and dedicated service. Throughout her life, Andi, was fondly known as “Andi”, “Annie”, and even “Angie” to a few. She had an amazing heart, a kind and caring spirit, and had the innate ability to talk and communicate with anyone and everyone. She absolutely loved spending time with her dear friends and was a great neighbor. Andi will forever be remembered for always holding a special place in her heart for cats, for her selflessness to those she loved, and for truly living a remarkable life filled with many beautiful memories and friendships.  

Surviving are three uncles: Tom Monville, Walt (Grace) Monville, and Paul (Nancy) Monville; brother-in-law, Gerald Gaunt; nieces and nephews: Gina (Mark) Ellis, Heidi Anderson, and Gerald (Katrina) Gaunt Jr.; two special friends: Cathy Rose and Peg Pasterz. Also surviving are many additional nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Helen Girardot; and a sister, Yvonne Gaunt.

A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Entombment will follow at Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. noon until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to a hospice organization of the donor’s choice.
