Amber Ruth Brinkman

Amber Ruth Brinkman (Newman)
Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend, passed away on May 28, 2024 in Saginaw. She was born on November 29, 1931, in Flushing Township, to the late James and Bernice Newman (Young).

Amber's life was marked by her unwavering love and dedication to her family. She worked at Fisher Body #1, where fate led her to meet her beloved late husband, Charles D. Brinkman. Amber and Charles were married on March 28, 1953. Together they navigated life's joys and challenges until his passing on August 21, 1993. After many years of hard work and commitment, Amber retired from Hudson's but continued to find joy in various hobbies such as birdwatching, her dog Angel, spending time with her family, reading her Bible, and travelling with Charles.

A longtime member of Bridgeport Community Church, Amber's faith shone brightly through her actions of kindness and compassion. Her nurturing personality was evident in every aspect of her life; she was known for being caring, supportive, and always putting others' needs before her own.

Amber is survived by two sons: James Brinkman and Charles (Brenda) Brinkman; grandchildren: Callie (Chris) Bartlett, Tracy (Derrick) Stam, Jason (Jennifer) Miller, Jodi (Ryan) Tack, Julie (Brett) Summerfield; along with 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. While they mourn her passing here on earth, they take solace in knowing that Amber now rests peacefully reunited with her husband, daughter: Denise J. Miller and other departed loved ones.

Per Amber's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visit will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024 at W. L.
