Allen T. “Buddha” Hudson Lindsey of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend departed this life unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was 42 years old. Allen T. Hudson Lindsey was born on May 15, 1979, in Detroit, Michigan, to Allen Lindsey and the late Claudia (Hudson) Lindsey. He was a proud 1997 graduate of Heritage High School. Following graduation, Allen attended Saginaw Valley State University and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Allen married the love of his life, Juanita Mae Lau on April 28, 2009; she survives him. Allen was brilliant, wise beyond his years, and often put others before himself. Creativity and art flowed within his soul. Over the years, Allen created art by sketching and paintings whatever he found beautiful in life. At the age of 21, he left college and bravely donated a kidney to his mother. Allen was a faithful and devoted member of the Islamic Center of Saginaw and could eidetically recite passages from both the Koran and Bible. He was clever, inquisitive, and had a knack for electronics, especially Apple products. Allen was also an effective communicator, an active listener, and a confidant to many family and friends. He had the innate ability to connect with all people. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Allen will forever be remembered for his selflessness, kindness, and for his devotion to Islam by always saying, “All praises due to Allah”.

Surviving are his wife, Juanita M. Lindsey of Saginaw; three children: Jasmine, Allen, and Abdul Nasir Hudson Lindsey of Saginaw; father, Allen Timothy Lindsey of Saginaw; step-mother, Patricia Franklin Lindsey of Saginaw; siblings: Fatimah Lindsey of MN; Antoine Hudson of Detroit; Lamont (Tyniia) Lindsey of Detroit; Ashley and Lashawnda Lindsey of Detroit; brother-in-law, Alvin (Monique) Franklin of Naperville; grandmother, Lutisher (Arthur) Collins of Eastpointe; four uncles: David (Kathleen) Lindsey, Clayton, NJ; Bobby (Michelle) Hudson of St. Clair Shores; Walter (Pam) Hudson of Detroit; Ronnie Hudson of Detroit; four aunts: Jannie Lindsey of Aurora, IL; Alease Lindsey of Bolingbrook, IL; Joann (Lennox) Bundy of Silver Springs, MD; Nancy Whitehead of Bensalem, PA; two special cousins: Damon and De’Andre; best friend, Jordan Curry. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cherished cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Fatimah Hudson Lindsey; mother, Claudia Hudson Lindsey.

The Janazah Prayer/Funeral Service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the Islamic Center of Saginaw, 4300 N. Center Road. Imam Musab Abdalla will officiate.
