Passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Age 81 years.
The son of the late Emma (Jammer) and Paul Pacholke was born October 6, 1939. He graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary. He played two years of professional baseball in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. He married Kathleen Marie Pietrzak, November 3, 1962. His wife of 54 years passed away May 29, 2017. Al was a patternmaker and retired from Detail Pattern. He then was employed by W. L. Case and Co. for several years. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid Detroit professional sports team fan.
Surviving are a son, a daughter and their spouses, Brian and Tammie Pacholke; Tracy and Brian Wasmiller; three grandchildren and their spouses, Alan and Lauren Pacholke; Amanda and Kevin Hamann; Emily Wasmiller; five great grandchildren, Mikaya, Dane and Scarlett Pacholke; Landon and Cadence Hamann; a sister, Leona Knight; many niece and nephews. Two brothers, Lawrence and Robert Pacholke have predeceased him.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2021, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church,
2461 N. Raucholz Rd. Hemlock. Rev. Dr. William L. Morris and Rev. Richard E. Mundt will officiate. Friends may visit with family from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the funeral service.
