Aaliyah Lexis Olivarez

Beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 29, 2026. Age 24 years.

The daughter of Rita Olivarez and Matthew Means, Liyah was born on October 3, 2001, in Saginaw, Michigan. Liyah was a fun-loving, free-spirited young woman who brought joy to those around her. She had a special gift for working with children and was known for her talent in braiding hair. Liyah cherished time spent with her family and especially loved her son, who was the center of her world. She enjoyed dancing, singing, taking pictures, and creating TikTok videos. Her loving heart, vibrant personality, and beautiful smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her son, Alberto Allen III; the father of her son, Alberto II; her father, Mattew (Denise) Means; mother-in-law, Casey Allen; grandparents, Henry and Emily Olivarez, Betty Olivarez; great-grandmother, Florence Means; brothers and sister, Joseph (Erica) Olivarez, Adam Olivarez (Nina Rosa), Michael Oliavrez, Briana (Gavin) Gonzales, Jalynn Langley, Gary Langley III, Nevaeh Langley, William Langley III, Logan Langley, Avery Rendon; sister-in-law, Celia (Rueban) Arntz; nieces and nephews, Alysisana Olivarez, Olivia Olivarez, Joseph Olivarez Jr., Owen Gonzalez; aunts and uncles, Jonathan Glover, Henry and Leann Olivarez, Rosemary Olivarez, Star Langley (fiancé, Richard Rendon), Sammy Olivarez, Adam Olivarez, Miranda Olivarez, Donna Johnson, Willard John (Nicole Elliott) Johnson Jr., Samantha Johnson (James Grundy), Kayla Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, Aubreyanna Santoya, Hyde Arntz, Burkely Arntz, and Calloway Arntz. Also surviving are many cousins, extended family members, and friends. Liyah was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Olivarez; father-in-law, Alberto Allen; grandparents, Matthew Glover, Brenda Gaertner, Edward Means, Willard John Johnson Sr.; aunts, Karrie Glover, Katrina Graham, and Jobina Olivarez.

Funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. Rev. Abraham Olorunlowo will officiate with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may wish to visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
