Wilber Harold Arch

Arch, Wilber Harold Saginaw, Michigan Wilber went to be with his Lord Wednesday, February 20, 2013, age 69 years. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan July 19, 1943 the son of the late Russell Benjamin and Alicerose (Wilber) Arch. He graduated from Saginaw High School in 1961. Wilber attended Delta College for two years, earning his Associate's Degree. He married Darlene Mae Weirauch September 7, 1963 and she survives him. Wilber was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He retired from General Motors Saginaw Steering Gear after 38 years of service. He assisted in setting up a new plant in Cadiz, Spain in 1981. Wilber was an avid golfer and hunter. He was a member of Maple Hill Golf Club in Hemlock since 1973. He was a co-founder of the Swan Valley Athletic Association. Wilber loved spending time with his grandchildren; washing and waxing his vehicles, tending to his yard and snowbirding in Mesa, Arizona during the winter. In addition to his wife, Darlene, Wilber is survived by his children, Jeffrey Arch of Gaylord, MI, Michael (Jamie) Arch of Hemlock, MI and Kristine (Kevin) Brassil of Depere, WI; four grandchildren, Lauren, Danielle, Jenna and Liam; a sister, Dixie Lee (James) Dorrance; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. Friday from 2:00 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friends may also call Saturday at church from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
