Wayne Arthur Burk

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at his home. He was 73 years young. Wayne Arthur Burk was born on December 20, 1944 in Saginaw to the late Arthur Henry and LaCelia Lillie (Matteson) Burk. He was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1962. Following graduation, Wayne married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Jean G. Vincent on April 24, 1965; she survives him. In his early years he was employed by McDonalds Corporation, receiving the esteemed Bachelors of Burgerology. He later worked for Rainbo Bread and Taystee Bread. He also enjoyed playing golf, being around animals, an avid outdoorsman and had a green thumb. Above all, Wayne loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Jean G. Burk of Saginaw; two children, Jill (John Dillman) Burk of Saginaw, Jay Burk of Saginaw; three grandchildren, Mitchell (Ruby) Ker of Weechawken, NJ, Levi Dillman of Saginaw and Scarlett Burk of Saginaw; two sisters, Fran Grugel of Kenoska, WI and Donna (Brian) Leinberger of Freeland; best friends, Marlene and Butch Doyle and David Uhl; and extended family members. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces and nephews… and fur babies: Cheddars, Thai and Miss Kitty. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jacquelyn Burk. Honoring Waynes wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation for family and friends will take place 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday September 22, 2018 at the W. L.
