Walter Ziegfried Kube Hemlock, Michigan Went to be with the Lord and join his wife, Irene, Sunday, March 9, 2014. Age 90 years. The son of the late Emil and Lena (Zimmerman) Kube was born October 22, 1923 in Hemlock, Michigan. Walter married Irene Gubbins, December 11, 1948. She passed away November 12, 2009. Walter was a 4-H leader. He was a dairy farmer in the Hemlock area for many years and was also employed by Baker Perkins for over thirty-five years and for Kenny Brothers Farms until last summer. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hemlock. Surviving family include, six children and their spouses, Bonnie and Dave Hebben, Hemlock, MI; Shirley and Ron Miller, Grand Rapids, MI; Donna Schramm, Arizona; Karen and Mark Lavrack, Burt, MI; Ron and Rose Kube, Indiana; Sarah and Mark Bydalek, Grand Rapids, MI; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Josephine Klink; Jane Kube; Evelyn Reinke; many nieces and nephews. Five brothers and sisters have predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Dr. William L. Morris will officiate with Military burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of the Hemlock-Merrill V.F. W. Post #7302. Friends may call at the Chapel from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and then on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
