Viola Lemanski

Viola Lemanski of Southfield, MI formerly of Saginaw and Freeland

Vi passed away February 12, 2020. She was 91 years old. Vi was born August 20, 1928 to Phillip and Marie (Peterson) York and was a long time resident of Saginaw and Freeland. She attended Stone School and received her GED several years later. Vi retired from a supervisory position at Kellermeyer Building Services. She also worked for many years at Royal Palm Restaurant. Vi was an avid gardener, canner, fisher and lover of animals.

She is predeceased by brothers Chet, Jake, Stanley, Joe, Rudy and Jerry York; her son, Arthur Dietz; her sister and best friend, Millie Woodrow; and her beloved husband, Alex Lemanski.
Surviving are a sister, Lenola Price; and many nieces and nephews.

Honoring Viola’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Paul Hinz will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who wish to do so, memorial donations would be greatly appreciated by her favorite charity: The Michigan Humane Society.
