Troy E. Mathis

Mathis, Troy E. Saginaw, MI Passed away Friday, April 8, 2016, after a lingering illness. He was 44 years of age. Troy E. Mathis was born in Lapeer on October 28, 1971 to Herbert D. (Marcine) Mathis Sr. and the late Vicki R. (John Tomac) Mowen. He married LeeAnn Zehnder on June 29, 2007, and she survives him. Troy was a graduate of Gladwin High School and was employed by Mid-States Bolt & Screw Company. Always known for his outgoing and giving personality, Troy loved the outdoors and treasured time spent with his family. He was quite the jack-of-all-trades, master of nothing. Troy is survived by: two children, Morgan (Liz) Mathis and Lorenzo (Colby) Mathis; a grandfather, Donald Nash; his parents-in-law, Beth and Jerry Fisher; his brothers and sisters, Donnie (Kim) Mathis, Herb (Sissy) Mathis Jr., Rich (Kary) Mathis, Jamie (Sean) DeMurry, Christina Mathis, Dane (Amber) Byrd, Troy Byrd, Heather (Ron) Randall, Angel (Bob) Barton, Becky (Aaron) Young, John (Cathy) Tomac Jr., Kerri (Matt) Wenzel, and Aubri (Marcel) Fisher; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by many close relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at the W. L. Case & Company Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway. Chaplain Ron Compton will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on the family at the Chapel on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
