Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Aleda Lutz VA Medical Center at the age of 78 years. The son of the late Richard and Marian (Beckett) Coombs was born on June 28, 1938 in Saginaw. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Thomas retired from Saginaw Steering Gear. Surviving are his longtime companion, Evelyn Pomerville, his children: Tom (Deb) Coombs, Lexington, MI; Linda (Dan) Mason, Saginaw, MI; grandchildren: D.J., Chelcie, Hailey, Kevin, Miranda, Mikayla, Trevor, Kelsey, his brothers: Bob (Jan) Coombs, Ken (Sally) Coombs and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Thomas was predeceased by his sister JoAnn Bunker. In accordance with Thomas's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
