Susan M. Ryder Hemlock, Michigan Passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016, age 74 years. She was born on October 29, 1942, daughter of the late Howard and Eugenia (Andrzejewski) Birch, in Bay City. Susan married Noel Ryder on September 15, 1962, he predeceased her on October 7, 2008. She had been a long time member of Hemlock/Nelson United Methodist Churches. Susan retired from St. Francis Home as an LPN after many years of service. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting and spending time with her family. She will truly be missed by her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Susan is survived by her children, Catherine (Stephan) Kinkle, Robert (Chris) Ryder, John Ryder and David (Billie) Ryder; eleven grandchildren; sister, Julie (Jay) Cardinal; brother, Michael Birch and sister-in-law, Evelyn Ryder. She was predeceased by her twin sons, Kenneth and Keith Ryder. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider the wishes of the family.
