Stewart Ernest Yockey

Yockey, Stewart Ernest Saginaw, MI Stewart Ernest Yockey, who lived with his son, Larry and Carol Yockey in Douglasville, GA passed away June 21, 2014. Stewart was 101 years of age. He and his wife, Edith are now together in Heaven. They were married on September 27, 1941. Stewart was born December 12, 1912 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of the late Henry and Emma (Hubinger) Yockey. He was raised and grew up with his four brothers, Elmer, Arnold, Philip, Norman and one sister, Selma in Saginaw. He graduated from Saginaw High School. Stewart retired as a Plant Mechanic from Dow Chemical in Bay City after 25 years. He is survived by a daughter, Jean Light; two sons, Stewart A. and Michelle Yockey; Larry and Carol Yockey; seven grandchildren, Chris and Dan Simon, Scott and Masami Light, Stephanie and John Vescio, Stewart L. Yockey, Stacey and Jake Hess, Dawn Yockey and Deborah Yockey; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The funeral service will take place 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Michael Hahn will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at W. L.
