Shirley K. Grandy

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Age 74 years.

Shirley was born on December 3, 1946, daughter of the late Marie (Hertz) and Robert Bartlett, in Saginaw. She was a proud graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School’s very first graduating Class of 1965. She married Ron Grandy on October 11, 2002. He survives her. Shirley loved the outdoors, hunting, camping and traveling with Ron throughout Michigan in their RV and spending time with her family. Shirley was sassy but a very caring mother to her children and their friends and had a fierce mom facial expression. She was always very organized, loved her dogs and her cat, Little Bit.

Shirley will be missed by her husband, Ron; children, Bryan (JoAnna) Wolinski, Alicia (Chris Buckley) Wolinski and Teri (Brad) Brecht; grandchildren, Gage Wolinski, Eric Bonner, Brooke Knapp, Amanda Petersen and Bo Brecht; great granddaughter, Penelope Petersen and one on the way.

Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021, at W. L. Case and Company, 125 E. Saginaw Street, Merrill. Pastor Randall Waibel will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 persons, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to reduce the spread of covid-19 in our community.
