Shirley Jean Lewis

Shirley Jean Lewis of Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital. She was 83 years old. Shirley Jean Curtis was born on February 17, 1936, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late George and Natalie (Cherry) Curtis. She was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School. Following graduation, Shirley married Richard D. Lewis on November 9, 1957; he preceded her in death on July 31, 2015. Shirley enjoyed taking trips to the casino. Above all she loved and cherished her family. She will forever be remembered for her kind, caring, and selfless spirit. Surviving are a daughter, Debby Badder of Saginaw; son, Mark Lewis of Saginaw; two grandchildren: Kelly Semanski of Waterford; Chad Brown of Essexville; three great-grandchildren, Brady Semansky, Zander Lowen, and Zoey Lowen; brother, Skip (Judy) Curtis; two sisters, Dixie (Jim) LaPan, and Linda Weigle. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Russell Badder; four brothers and two sisters, Jerry Curtis, Jim Curtis, Beverly Case, Suzie Fairbanks, Tom Curtis, and Richard Curtis. Honoring Shirleys wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
