Passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at Henry Ford Hospital following a lengthy illness. Age 48 years.
The daughter of Alfinio Olivarez and the late Debria Ann Fairchild was born September 15, 1972 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Gladwin High School, Class of 1991 where she played volleyball and softball. She married Matthew McQuaid, July 4, 1996. He survives her. Her children were the highlight of her life! She received her certificate as a Registered Medical Assistant and was very proud of her accomplishment. She enjoyed cooking, artwork and most of all, family gatherings, birthday celebrations and spending time in her pool.
Surviving besides her husband, Matthew, and her father and his wife, Alfinio and Lupe Olivarez, are three children, Jean, Rose and Zander; her sister, Marie Lang; her nieces and nephew, Guile, Jillian and Liberty.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Cyrus and Amelia Fairchild.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Shannan’s family wish to thank the doctors, staff and caregivers at Henry Ford Hospital for their excellent care and assistance.
