Burgett, Scott Joseph Grand Rapids, MI, formerly of Saginaw Passed away peacefully on February 20, 2014 at the age of 55 years. Scott was born on December 13, 1958, in Flint, MI, the beloved son of the late William and Arlene (LeBlanc) Burgett. He grew up in Saginaw Township and attended school at M.G. Millet Learning Center where he graduated in 1984. Scott will be remembered for his warm heart and fun loving personality. He enjoyed swimming in his family's pool, wrestling, bowling, dancing, music, and listening to his radio. He was especially fond of Burger King Whoppers and Coca Cola. Scott also traveled to Nova Scotia where he met his Canadian relatives and made a lasting impression. In 2006, Scott moved to Grand Rapids where he touched many hearts and made many new friends. Scott is survived by his sister, Linda; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Ann; and niece, Natalie, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Scott will be missed by his roommates Stephen Johnson and Michael Giles. Scott's family wishes to thank Heather, Amy, Stephanie and all of his caregivers as well as the support staff at Hope Network. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Rd. Fr. John Johnson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Friday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
