Sandra Rose

Beloved Mom, Grandma, Sister and Aunt passed away peacefully on April 21, 2019 at the age of 70 years, after losing her battle with Alzheimers. Sandy has lived at Edgewood Assisted Living with her mother Jackie for the past year, whom she recently lost to Alzheimers five weeks ago. The daughter of the late Bruce and Jacquelin (Fay) Baird was born on October 4, 1948 in Lansing, Michigan. She graduated from Waverly High School, class of 1966. Sandy continued her education at Ferris State University where she graduated from the Dental Assisting Program in 1968. She later married Ronald Rose on March 22, 1969 in Lansing, he survives her. The couple shared 50 wonderful years together. Surviving besides her husband, are her children, J.J. Burnham and Casey (Ryan) Bierlein; grandchildren Riley and Hallie McIntyre, and Emma, Claire and Owen Bierlein. She is also survived by her brother Dave Baird. Sandy was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. William Nigl for over 20 years, after being a stay at home mom for 17 years. She enjoyed gardening especially with perennials, playing bridge with her Great Escape Group, and going for rides in the Jeep. Above all Sandy loved to attend sporting events for both her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will take place at 11:00am on Thursday April 25, 2019 at W.L. Case and Company , 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Barb Fay will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 1:00- 3:00pm and 5:00- 8:00pm and on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
