Ruth M. (Sis) Parent Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved mother died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at her residence. Age 96 years. Ruth Marie Jordan was born January 8, 1918 in Saginaw. She married Richard J. Parent. Her husband of 60 years passed away in 1995. Surviving are their children and spouses, Richard C. (R.C.) and Christeen Parent, Bridgeport, MI; Kathleen V. (Ginger) and Don Praay, Marenisco, MI; Wayne F. and Marcia Parent, Saginaw, MI; Nancy M. and Richard LaBonte, Flushing, MI; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren. Two grandsons, Joel and Diron Parent and a great grandson, Christian LaBonte have predeceased her. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption, 615 Hoyt Ave. Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Andy Boom will officiate with entombment in Eastlawn Memorial Mausoleum. Friend may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may then call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
