Rosella Ann Putnam

Rosella Ann Putnam Hemlock, Michigan Passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at St. Marys of Michigan. Age 80 years. The daughter of the late Lulu (Yingling) and Elmer Close was born October 31, 1936 in Pontiac, Michigan. She married James Gilbert Putnam Sr, June 19, 1954. He passed away July 20, 2007. Rosella was employed as a waitress and bartender at Rodeitchers and the Hickory House. She also hosted Shopper Shows and sold Tierra Glassware. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock. She was an avid bingo and card player. Surviving are five children and their spouses, James Gilbert Putnam, Jr; Linda Lou Coin; Pam and John Farless; Joan and Kent Hunt; June and Dan Coulter; 14 grandchildren, Tonya, Tina, Daniel, Joshua, Zachariah, Gustave, Jacob, John, Brian, K.J., Paul, Nicholas, Jessica and Ashley; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Kevin Farless and two sisters, three brothers, Eleanor Ketter, Barbara Gosh, Andrew, Ronald and Donald Close. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Rd. Hemlock, MI. Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate with burial in Laporte Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the funeral service.
