Rose E. Hetzner (Arndt) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Edgewood Assisted Living at the age of 93. Rose was born to the late August and Helen (Smigelski) Arndt on November 8, 1924, in Saginaw Michigan. Rose married her loving husband Harold "Pete" Hetzner, on June 22, 1946. They were married for 67 years until he passed in November 16, 2013. Rose graduated from Saginaw High School in 1942 and then attended Saginaw Business Institute. She worked for AT&T as a unit supervisor until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. During her retirement she was a volunteer at Covenant HealthCare and Bethesda Thrift Shop. She loved BINGO, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Rosalind Longo and Randall (Ethel) Hetzner; grandchildren: Eric (Angela) Krenz, T. R. (Jessica) Longo Jr., Katherine (Jory) Snowden, Carl Hetzner and Ann Marie (Brion) Bissell; great-grandchildren: Ashley and Sydney Krenz, Samantha and Jacob Longo, Tyler and Lizzie Snowden; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Smejkal, Arlene Lehr, Mildred Strunk, George Arndt, and Norman Arndt; and her son-in-law, Thomas Longo. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2017 at Peace Lutheran Church 3427 Adams Ave. Pastor Matthew Hauser will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 3:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again at church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
