ROSALIE M. STEVENS Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at her home. Age 92 years. Rosalie Martha Stevens (Nagel) married Archibald Hobson Stevens, Sr. on March 24, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan and has been married 67 years. They raised five children: Archibald Hobson, Jr., Morrison Martin, Virginia Ruth, John Arthur, and James Richard. She occasionally worked at Stevens Moving and Storage of Saginaw, Michigan while Archie grew the company into a national van line, which their four sons then expanded the business into a prominent national van line operation, servicing the United States and overseas. Rosalie attended Michigan State University majoring in music and Saginaw Business College. She was a three octave soprano who enjoyed being in high school musicals, singing in the First Presbyterian Church choir, and in various languages. Her major interests were her family, The Tuesday Musicale, Junior Tuesday Musicale, Saginaw Farm and Garden Club, playing bridge and golf, traveling and being active in the Church. Rosalie and Archie were instrumental in founding and expanding a Protestant Community Church in Rio Verde, AZ and the East Tawas Presbyterian Church in East Tawas, MI. They enjoyed raising their family at the River Road farm on the Tittabawassee River, the cottages on Houghton Lake and Lake Huron, and in the woods at their Kennely Road home. Rosalie will be greatly missed by her loving husband Archie, and their four surviving children, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Their son, Archibald Hobson Stevens, Jr. has predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church.121 S. Harrison St. Saginaw. Dr. Robert L. Emrich will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday and then on Monday at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider First Presbyterian Church Choir.
