Went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from his residence in Birch Run. Ronald was born in Fosters, Ml on October 29, 1935 to the late Clifford and Julia (McCormick) Munson.
He married Santa Hernandez on May 18, 2019; she survives him. He was a deacon at the Sheridan Road Baptist Church. Ron served the Lord as a Sunday school teacher, bus driver and in several other capacities. Countless lives were touched and influenced through his ministry which spanned over 55 years. Ronald was a retired ironworker and welder.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Janice (Traub) Munson (December 2016) and grandson Mark (July 2018). Surviving are four sons- Eric (wife Lynn) Munson, Glen Munson, Dan (wife Michelle) Munson, and Dave (wife Sarah) Munson- nine grandchildren: Laura, Richard, Mike, Heidi, Alyssa, James, Jason, Shelby and Madison- four great-grandchildren- sister-in-law Mary Bradley- several nieces, nephews and their families. Ronald was predeceased by four sisters and five brothers.
The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Sheridan Road Baptist Church, 6911 Sheridan Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Lou Jurva will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with family at the church from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday and then on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
