Obituary

Simon, Ronald J. Saginaw, MI Passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare, age 83 years. Ronald was born in Saginaw, Michigan June 9 , 1930 the son of the late Henry J. and Sophie M. (Zittel) Simon. He married Sue Fukumoto October 28, 1955 in Tokyo, Japan and she survives him. Ronald served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 1988 after 30 years of service. In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by a daughter, Angelia (Shane) Wackerle; a granddaughter, Alyssa Usewick; a sister, Rosaline (Dale) Malzahn; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Simon; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Marie Polzin; his brother, Raymond Simon and his sister, Beatrice Schultz. The funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service.
