Ronald D. Carrick

Ronald D. Carrick Bay City, Michigan Beloved husband went home to the Lord to join his son on April 9, 2016, at the age of 72. Ron was born November 22, 1943, in Saginaw to the late Kenneth and Aletha (Cline) Carrick. He served in the U.S Army. Ron married Terry Lee Gelles on June 28, 1969; she survives him. He worked for Wicks Corporation for many years as a Systems Analyst/Software Engineer. He then became an owner of Pennzoil's 10 minute Oil Changes. He loved spending time with his family, computers, golf, sailing, and wintering in Florida. He will be sorely missed by his wife Terry; brothers, Larry (Susan) Carrick, Simon (Carol) Carrick, Jeff (Annette) Carrick, Steve (Joyce) Carrick; siblings-in-law, Jonalee (Will) Lambert, Jack (Pam) Gelles, Dale Gelles, Marta (Jim) Marshall, Keith (Karen) Gelles; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and adoring friends. He was predeceased by his son Matthew Scott "Zanky" Carrick. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016, at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Rd. with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
