Roman Diaz

Diaz, Roman Saginaw, MI Passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 82 years. He was born January 8, 1930, in Greenville, Mississippi, the son of the late Isidoro and Cornelia Montelongo Diaz. He retired from General Motors in 2001 after over 30 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars and going to classic car shows. He also enjoyed country music. He married Maria Olivia Mejia; she survives him. He also leaves three sons, Juan Diaz and his fiance Stacey Martin, Adam and Nina Diaz, and Roman Diaz Jr., all of Saginaw; six grandchildren, Alyssa Nicole Diaz, SaLynda Veronica Diaz, and their mother Denise Diaz, Adam, Rosa Maria and Fernando Diaz, and Mariah Herrera; five great-grandchildren, Nevayah, Violet, Alonzo, Aaleyah and Mariano; one brother, Peter and Victoria Diaz; two sister-in-laws; Martina and Josefina Mejia, several nieces, nephews, and their families. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway, where his family will receive friends from 2:00 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and then on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Fr.
