Luna, Roberto Frederick Saginaw, MI Passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare, age 72 years. Roberto was born April 6, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of the late Ramon and Josefa (Martinez) Luna. He married Ernestina Perez Urivez September 4, 1965. She predeceased him December 4, 1997. Roberto worked at Grey Iron Foundry for 33 years. He served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed playing the guitar, working in his garden, photography and spending time with his family. Roberto is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Luna and Michelle "Mika" Luna; four grandchildren, Angel (Carlos) Thomas, Miranda Moncivais, Robert Guerra and Jason Bradshaw Jr.; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Barajas and Gloria Cisneros; numerous nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Guadalupe Urivez; 10 brothers and sisters-in-law, Oscar (Cheryl) Urivez, Oswald Urivez, Mary Garza, Osmond (Liz) Urivez, Frank Urivez, Gloria (John) Flores, Rachel (Joe) DeLaCruz, Joe Urivez, Hijinio (Christina) Urivez and Michael (Teresa) Urivez; In addition to his wife, Roberto was predeceased by three siblings, Raymond Luna, Rose Moll and Richard Luna; four half-brothers, Guadalupe Mosqueda, Angel Mosqueda, Felix Mosqueda and Paul Mosqueda; his father-in-law, Hijinio Urivez; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Omero Urivez, Juan Urivez and Margaret Urivez. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Casimir Church, 2122 South Jefferson. Rev. Fr. Thomas Schmied will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, where military services will take place under the auspices of the American GI Forum. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Thursday from 2:00 5:00 and 6:00 -9:00 where they may join the family for a parish vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at church Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the services.
