Robert J. Jacobs

Jacobs, Robert J. Frankenmuth Michigan Died February 22, 2013, at the age of 94. Robert Jacobs was born October 26, 1918, in New York City to the late Bertha (Weingart) and Henry Jacobs. He graduated with an engineering degree from City College of New York and from Stuyvesant High School for Science and Mathematics. Robert worked as an engineer in Akron, Ohio during WWII, and held prominent positions as an engineer at Black Clawson in Fulton, NY. He later went to Beloit in Pennsylvania and then moved on to be the head of the Machinery Division at Wickes in Saginaw, Michigan where he remained for many years until his retirement. Robert was a devoted husband for over fifty years to the late Ruth Konicke Jacobs, and father to the late James Edward Jacobs, Esq. He is survived by his adopted son, John H. Jacobs of Texas and five grandchildren. Robert lived in his home in Frankenmuth MI, with the aid of his devoted friend Phyllis Allen, until his death.
