Robert Herman Mumby

Mumby, Robert Herman Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully Saturday, March 1, 2014 at his home with his family at his side, age 71 years. Robert was born in Flint, Michigan November 14, 1942 the son of the late Archie and Elsie (Smith) Mumby. He married Sharon Sharpe November 26, 1959 and she survives him. Robert retired from General Motors, Delphi Division after 38 years of service. He was a member of Hopevale Church. He enjoyed spending his winters in Seminole, Florida. He was an avid golfer and sports fan. He loved spending time with his family and going on family vacations. In addition to his wife, Sharon, Robert is survived by three children, Kevin (Shelly) Mumby, Steven (Michelle) Mumby and Lori Mumby (Mike Shaffer) ; five granddaughters, Jennifer (Jason) Hobkirk, Kristina (Dane) Zirwes, Stephanie and Stacey Mumby, Lindsey Shaffer; a great-granddaughter, Aubree Hobkirk; a brother, Herman (Joan) Mumby; two sisters, Thelma Yuille and Pearl (Gene) Goodroe; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Hazel (Claude) Meller and Phyllis (Walt) Daenzer and a brother-in-law, Don Yuille. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Hopevale Church, 4873 N. Center Rd. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road Tuesday from 2:00 8:00 p.m. and at church Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
