Loving husband and father passed away Saturday December 18, 2021 at Covenant Cooper at the age of 91 years. Bob was born August 11, 1930 in Salina, Kansas. The son of the late Henry and Martha (Benny) Elder. Bob married Wilma Schroeder January 18, 1948 in Salina, Kansas, Wilma survives him. He proudly served in the USN. Bob retired from Severance Tool following many years of service. He was a member of Hopevale Church in Saginaw, he was an avid Golfer and gardener and was meticulous about his lawn and maintaining Wilm’s gardens Bob enjoyed a good board game, and lover of animals. Bob was known for his great sense of humor and the jokester of the family, most of all Bob loved his family and made sure they knew his love. Bob was a true family man.
Surviving besides his wife Wilma are their children; Robin Elder and Robert Elder Jr.; a sister Martha Arbuckle; and his loving dog Peanut; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Bob was predeceased by his siblings; Richard, Harry, Irene and Julia.
A private burial service has taken place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the City Rescue Mission or Undercover Angels Animal Rescue of Saginaw.
