Robert F. Smith

Our loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Age 90 years. Robert was born on January 13, 1928, son of the late Fay and Edith (Hilborn) Smith, in Saginaw. He married Evelyn J. Stephens on November 9, 1946. She survives him. Robert served in the U. S. Navy and retired from E. W. Graft Construction Company after many years of service. He loved playing Bridge and was a member of the American Contract Bridge League. When he could no longer attend, he played on his computer. Robert will be sadly missed by his wife Evelyn; their children, Donald (Donna) Smith of Trevor WI, Jack (Joyce) Smith of Grand Junction, CO, James Smith and Jeanne Letts, both of Essexville; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren;1 great-great grandchild; many nieces, nephews and sister-in-law, Norma Smith. He was predeceased by his brother, Delbert Smith, his sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Roy Miller and his special son-in-law, B.J. Letts. Honoring Roberts wishes cremation has taken place and there are no services scheduled.
