Rick Alan Wenzel

Rick Alan Wenzel Saginaw, Michigan Passed away suddenly, Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at his home. Age 59 years. The son of Daniel Wenzel and the late Garnet (Carstensen) Wenzel was born August 29, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a graduate of Swan Valley High School and received his Bachelors in Business Administration from Northwood University. He married Tamara Herber, September 25, 1982. She survives him. Rick had been employed in Management with Meijer Inc., retiring as a Market Director in 2015 with 34 years of service. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and was currently attending Messiah Lutheran Church, Midland. He loved cars, collecting cars, vintage bikes, and vintage signs and memorabilia. He belonged to the Oldsmobile and Pontiac Clubs of America. He enjoyed working in, and was especially proud, of his yard and landscaping. Most of all he loved his family and their vacations to Disney World. Surviving besides his wife, Tamara, and his father, Daniel, are three children, Jason and Michelle Wenzel; Jessica and Jonathan Johnston; Jenna Wenzel and Garrett Link; three grandchildren, William Wenzel; Azalia and Finnley Johnston; a brother and a sister, Jeff and Vicki Wenzel; Michelle and Tim Beiser; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2017, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Ed Doerner will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the chapel from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Monday.
